From the moment I purchased my first Pentax ME camera after college, photography has been a quiet companion on my life’s journey. For years, my lens captured family milestones and everyday adventures, but it wasn’t until the age of 63 that I truly invested in the craft—upgrading my equipment, immersing myself in education, and opening my eyes to the world’s wonders with renewed curiosity. This late-in-life pursuit has taken me far beyond what I ever imagined. My camera has led me across the windswept landscapes of Iceland, the rugged cliffs of the Faroe Islands, the dramatic peaks of the Italian Dolomites, and to breathtaking corners of North America. Each image I create is a story—an invitation to pause, reflect, and see the world anew.

Landscapes is a medium to wide field of view image - as opposed to a detail or close-up view of the outdoor environment incorporating elements such as mountains, canuons, lakes, snow, river, forests, fields, the sea and natural geological formations.

As per this year's People Group theme "Environmental Portraiture (EP)," members are asked to submit photos on their interpretation of EP. Be prepared to give a wee talk about your photos, your approach and technique(s).

Following several successive, highly popular and entertaining portfolio nights, we once again will showcase the photographic works of LCC members who will talk about their images, about themselves and about their love for the art of photography.
