PAST CAMERAGRAMS

The Montreal Camera Club began publishing the Cameragram in the 1950s. At that time, the monthly printed publication was, long before the internet, the primary way members stayed informed about Club activities. With the arrival of the digital era, the Cameragram evolved into three issues a year until 2016-2017 when it went down to two issues. Today, the Cameragram is a single, online and downloadable, annual handbook.

These editions provided all essential information about the Club’s activities for the season. The year-end issues also included a complete list of trophy winners for that season, along with the names and images of their winning photographs. Over time, this section transitioned into a slideshow presentation format, which continues to be used today.

The Cameragram has a rich editorial history. Early editors included Bonnie Nichol, followed by Sylvia Rourke, who assumed the role in 2013. Our Layout Editor, Cindy Canavan, was instrumental in the production of the printed Cameragram between 2013-2019.

Since 2019, Margaret White has graciously continued as Editor and Layout Editor, carrying the tradition forward to the present day.

The Cameragram has also benefited greatly from the many Club Chairs who have contributed and coordinated content over the years, helping to ensure a consistently successful and high-quality publication.
